I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on either a Utah banded Gila Monster or a Banded Gila monster. But you need to make sure they are legal where you are at and also make sure they are CBB as WC are illegal no matter where you are.

Oh man, that sounds awesome. I wouldn't consider myself experienced enough (or having enough balls) to go the venomous route. Beautiful animals though. I admire you guys that are able to make that kind of thing work.

Not sure if i am experienced enough either as he/she would be my first venomous reptile. I've always wanted one and from everyone I've talked to, their venom wont kill you but could make you pretty sick and they dont inject it like a viper. It's administered by them chewing on you and the venom goes into the wound. Plus they are known to be fairly mellow once they are used to you. Beaded lizards more so than gilas but the few people i've talked to have said they have met puppy dog tame gilas too. You just have to work with them to tame them down more than beaded.

But like i said, I've wanted one since i was kid and after finding out they are legal in Washington State, i almost fell out of my chair with excitement. I cant wait
