    Photo of python skeleton

    We travel to Chicago for a couple of days and visited the Field Museum of Natural History. They had an amazing and huge collection of stuffed animals specimens and skeletons. Seeing this skeleton of a giant python, I can now understand how they move, and how they use their ribs kind of like feet within their skin. Was neat to see up close!

    That's great description, that snakes basically are walking on their ribs... Their scutes would be their "track shoes".
