Going off feed - Shedding
Hey everyone, my ball python is now going to shed. It's eyes are blurry now.
My concern is that it won't eat, I've tried it twice now and it's only showings signs of fear. Since I'm going out of town, I'm worried about how long can it go off feed?

No worries . Not one of my Ball / Royal pythons will show any interest at all in food whilst in shed . Most of my others don't either tbh . Probably the a few of the King snakes are exceptions to the rule .
It will be perfectly fine whilst you are away . They usually go and hide away for a few days , whilst in shed mode - maybe a week or more then they're fine .
The eyes stay blue / milky colour for a few days then the eyes clear and the snakes get their normal colouration back BUT they don't actually shed for a few days after they clear !
Just keep your humidity fairly high for the next week or so . I make a point of spraying the vivs a times a day as soon as the eyes clear and that more or less guarantees a perfect shed .
Once you've seen the shed ( usually found in a messy, rolled up ball in one of the hides ) you can try offering food . Always best to offer in the evening , with low lighting - in my experience - as they're nocturnal as you probably know ..
Just keep posting any worries or concerns in here plus maybe some photos ...

Your snake will be fine without food for a while.
How long are you gone? Do you have somebody monitoring the enclosure to check humidity and spot clean/change water, etc....?

They normally don't eat when in shed. Just leave him be and let him rest. He will be hungry after the shed.

I'll be gone for 4 days , since I live in Malaysia the temperature and humidity will be fine on it's own .

Oh, only 4 days? He'll be fine. Weigh him before you go, weigh him when you get back; if that'll help ease your worries. You probably won't notice much difference since BPs are good at holding weight and can fast for months at a time without losing any.
