    Hydrometer placement

Where should I place the hydrometer in my ball pythons tank? I have one on both the cool side and warm side. The warm side usually reads 45 while the cool side reads 65. I have just been assuming its the average between the two.

    Re: Hydrometer placement

Humidity is expected to be lower on the warm side since the temperature is higher. You're readings seem fine. If you want to pick one side over the other go with the cool side since this would most closely match your room temperature.
