I too am interested in seeing/hearing more, if you don't mind. I want to build my own enclosure to fit an older TV entertainment center.

ha... just noticed you are from Butler County.... I have friends in Rose Hill, I might just ask them to buy a sheet or two in Wichita and bring it the next time they travel to Colorado, or stop in myself then next time I travel there.

Hi, I know this thread is a little older, but if you see this... what did you use for the clear door? I have been thinking of doing something similar for a carpet (that i dont have yet LoL) but also for a couple or more ball pythons, on a smaller scale of course. I need something that can hold humidity better than the exo-terra glass enclosures they are currently in, and dont want to go the tub route. If you see this, Id appreciate info on the clear doors, or if anyone else has a suggestion... Thanks.

    Very cool enclosure btw.

I've got the same question...biggest worry for me with assembling one of these is where to get the glass/acrylic for a hinged or sliding door assembly.

Polycarb, acrylic, etc. Generally you use heat to make the hole then place the screw through it if you want it to stay clear in applications like this (hinges). IIRC.

Acrylic, you need to go in slow bursts with the bit and keep it cool else it cracks.

Hi, ive been looking online and found a few companies like his one.

    https://www.acmeplastics.com/cut-to-...sheet-extruded

Edited to add... Ive found similar for glass, but VERY expensive. I originally wanted glass sliding doors, but im going to settle for acrylic hinged door.

Regarding glass for enclosures, look in your local yellow pages. You might be surprised how many glass shops you'll find. (everyone needs windows etc) I have a local glass shop cut 25"x11.5" doors for me with edges rounded off for 31 dollars per set of 2, which is well worth it.
