    The Red Gene: 0.1

This is a continuation of a thread in the genetics forum. I really don't really know much about this gene other than it was isolated from Blackhead, and does some (sometimes) neat things. Not a lot of information out there, and not a lot of people working with it as far as I know. That may tell me something right there, but I had to jump at the chance to work with it. I see potential, I just don't know if it'll pan out. Here are the shots as my observations so far.

Full body shot. What strikes me here is the pretty much full body dorsal stripe. It has a lot of red blushing in it and it quite dark. Makes sense to me as it's related to Blackhead. No flames to speak of, and the alien heads are all wonky one way or another. Kind of looks normal, but then again not at all. I find the yellows along the belly line consistent all over the snake. You can definitely see a reddish hue to it as well.

A detail shot of the back. The blacks and reds are evident here as is the red blushing.

Belly shot. The yellows are evident on the belly as well. At least to me, and I hope I'm not reading too much into it. There is a large amount of flecking on the sides as the tradition to the belly area too. What stands out to me is the way the black areas wrap around the body onto the belly area. Someone said it reminded him of Leopard. I don't know, as I am not familiar with that gene, at least how it presents on the belly.

We folks, that's it for now. Only thing to do is more research and then breed her in a year or so. If you have any information about this gene post it. I'm trying to find all I can about it.

    Thanks for looking,

    Dave
