    Correct me if I'm wrong.....

Purchased this guy as a Super Pastel. Bred him for the first time this season to a virgin calico.

Now everything should at least a pastel. So far 3 of the 5 eggs have hatched and this is what I have so far....

I'm sure that he is not a super pastel, but have my thoughts on what he is. I'd would like everyone's keen eye to please chime in.

    Thanks

    Hope the pics work.

For me, the pictures are only about 100 or 150 pixels square...

Trying it from an iPad. I'm going to try it again on a computer.

    Thanks

    "Super Pastel" male

3 of 5 babies so far

I don't think he is a super pastel. Actually when I bought him I thought he was something different.

    What do you guys see?

My thought also. I always thought the male was a Firefly yellow belly. I believe this confirms it. He's for sure not a super.

Laziness is nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired.

I'm going to hop on the 'firefly' and/or 'firefly yellow belly' as well. Great looking clutch though! That far right one looks like it's got sandblast.

He's yellow belly for sure and it looks like most of the clutch is also. Still two more to hatch. Looks like they could be calico yellow bellies??

I'm not sure how the calico and yellow belly gene interact, but whatever's going on I like it.
