Unsure If The Egg Is Good!
We have gotten our first successful clutch. By suprise. The female never showed any typical signs of having eggs. We thought we had had another unsuccessful year. But we went away for 5 days and when we came back the female had 6 healthy eggs! All candled well. two sets of two are stuck together, unable to be taken apart. The eggs were removed and set in an incubator.
We are about 6 weeks in and one egg (thankfully a stand alone) has developed mold. It is also more sunken in than the others. When candled there are veins, but not near as many as before and the back end of the egg has become....solid for lack of a better word and the light no longer shines through it. We seperated this egg in to it's own container and I have been gently wiping it every day. Someone told us to get athletes food powder and sprinkle it on top but I want some more opinions on that haha.
Is there a small chance this egg is okay? There is no smell, it feels the same in texture to the other eggs. It's just more sunken, has mold, and less veins. I do have photos but I am unable to post them.

I would let it be..give it a chance to go thru the process on its own.

We are letting it be, letting it complete the process or for sure die. I do gently wipe it daily with paper towel to stop mould from growing rampant. It is, after all, still in the incubator with the other eggs....just not the same container.
A picture is definitely worth a thousand words. And if I had permission to upload it I very much would of already had it up. But the site tells me I don't have permission.

To post your pic you need to use a picture hosting service such as photobucket.

Re: Unsure If The Egg Is Good!
I just downloaded tapatalk again. Once upon a long time ago I used it and it was a pain haha but it lets me upload.
This is the egg. It is easily 100% more deflated than the others. The part behind the X cannot be candled. The front can be but there isn't very many veins. And the mould needs to be wiped off daily.
The eggs were most likely laid May 6th or 7th.

I Would let it go full term. You may want to stop candling it so often. Also don't handle it as well. Just let it do what it's going to do.

I have only candled it twice I handle it to wipe the mould away daily for about 3 minutes
