Re: Help me identify this snake.
It looks like a corn to me too, but their range doesn't extend into Colorado. Both look very much alike, but the head markings look more corn-like than bull-like. There are so many rat snakes that look similar... Beautiful snake though.
Leilani- corn snake (butter tesserra)
Keahi- corn snake (sunglow motley)
Pololena- ball python (banana)
Ichtaka- ball python (mystic potion)
Wonambi- Brazilian rainbow boa (normal)

Yeah i'm almost 100% positive it's a corn that got loose or was set loose. There are others calling it a ball python which is obviously wrong lol, but there are so many people calling it a bull snake that i was starting to doubt myself. The only native snake we have that looks remotely similar is the emoryi ratsnake.

Corn snake, 100%. Absolutely a corn snake.

I posted this in snake ID because I was genuinely curious, and the admin identified it as a bull snake.

With that coloration? I think i should also mention that bull snakes are on the opposite side of the state. We have great basin gopher snakes where we are . What is snake ID? I've never seen a pit with that sort of head coloration or pattern.

Wow, I lost all trust in that group LOL. How could the admin not be able to differentiate a corn and a bull snake?
Snake Identification is an fb group

Considering it's location, I think this is more likely a Great Plains ratsnake.

You posted it redshepherd? Think you would be able to catch it? Just to solve the mystery. Also if its a corn its not native and probably an escaped pet?
