    Normal or ..?

    So I'm not that experienced in morphs so I'll let you guys help me out with this one, it's said that it is a dinky but I have no idea what that is..

    A dinker is a snake that someone thinks might have a heritable mutation, but it hasn't been proven yet. The animal is a normal unto proven otherwise through test breeding. That said, I can definitely see why someone wants to try proving that out.

    Yeah but that is very black and gold for a normal. Get some pics of it uncoiled... Do you plan on breeding?

    At this exact moment in time, yes. But it *could* be a mutation that can be passed on to its offspring. A dinker is a snake that looks different enough from a typical normal that someone things it might be a new gene. But it hasn't been proven yet. It gets called a normal until it has been proven to not be, because not all animals that look interesting like this prove to have a mutation that can be inherited.

    Ooh I see , so is that how all the other morphs are when they are first founded too? It gets called a dinky until it gets proven to be a new gene?
