    More horsey pics

Here are a few pics of Emma at the trainer's place last night. She is coming along nicely there; hopefully she will be rideable in at least a month.

Here's Marky (my man) giving her some carrots! She loves her daddy...

As you cans ee, her attention is riveted on me, and she will not be distracted by hay! Oh wait...

    Just a portrait...

She's so cute when she's chewing...

Bye bye! Actually in this pic she DOES look to be slightly round in the belly; and there IS a slight possibility she is in foal... yikes I might be a grandma at age 24!!

Nice horse Genevive! How hard are horses to care for? I was just wondering because I have had many animals but never anything 'farm related'.

Oh Gin she's so pretty! If she is in foal, which stud was it to? She's so pretty marked!

The most demanding part of caring for them, is stall cleaning. Although, if they live out (inn a pasture) and it is alrge, you really dont have to do that. Basically it's self explanatory; and if you let it build up, you are in for a BAD treat when you do decide to clean that stall!
Feeding and watering, those take minutes a day. Grooming takes a good hour sometimes, but it's a great time to bond/examine your horse to see if anything is wrong (injuries, bumps etc.)
Then you have training... that is your big time eater! But it is so worth it, in the same way having kids is. Investing time and money into someone that will go someplace!

Jo, here's a pic of the potential sire:

Oh Gin he's gorgeous! I love his head and the set of his ears!

Oh on the list don't forget hoof care and the cost of vet visits. I'd love a horse myself but having spent all my senior year of highschool helping a good friend with their Arabians, I'll never forget the work and costs involved though it was wonderful and I got to ride free almost every day!

How old is Emma? Has she ever been bred before?

    Re: More horsey pics

Yeah, the omnipresent hoof care. I didn't even scrape the surface of medical costs/care!

Em is 5 now. She has never been bred before. She was basically pasture kept all ehr life, with no real trining beyond leading.
