    humidity for a milk

    hello-
i've had a tang. honduran milksnake for about almost three months now. he is about 1 year old. my question is, do you all up your humidity for your milks during shed time and to what %? i always thought humidity wasn't an issue for these guys but every shed he's had with me has not been complete, the tail was always left on. i removed it of course with some warm water. but i'm wondering if that's just a result of him still being new to me, or if i should alter my humidity levels in some way. he's usually at about 45% humidity i think. basic room level.

    Re: humidity for a milk

It never hurts to spray the cage with some warm water during shed. I have three kingsnakes and the only humidity I offer is the water vapor from their water bowl (or they soak in it). But if I know one of my snakes is a bad shedder, then I'll up the humidity.
