first time im going to see a burm up close?

Ive only seen a burmese once before at school it was brought in as part of an educational session on snakes. Today I might meet a guy who has one and might get to touch or be able to interavt with it and mayb just maybe handle it (he owns it with permissions and whatnot according to himself).

Any suggestions youd give me for iteracting with a giant python for what is pretty much the first time? Its intimidating even if it is puppy tame, you can probably understand.

It's really no different than interacting with any other snake. I would wait for the owner to pull it out and then when you do touch it, start in the middle since the head and tail can be ticklish. Obviously don't put your face up to its face either, though if it wants to investigate you on its terms then that's different.

And yeah, check for sausage butt before picking up the back end.

And make sure you dont wear a pork chop around your neck or smell like a rat/rabbit or piglet. And avoid standing behind it.

Finally saw it! Their skin is soooooo smooth it's like silk! He was beautiful and amazing! So tame! Didn't have time to take pictures honestly but still an amazing experience! Thanks for the tips, owner was very knowledgeable and helped a lot as well and was very informative.
