Polyurethane Reptile Cage ???

*** HAD THIS CUSTOM MADE & the inside was treated with two coats of what I believe to be oil based polyurethane paint to not mold under high humidity! I was curious on when I could put my RTB in there. I don't SMELL anything but it was only applied exactly two days ago. Also how long it takes to "cure" and if that effects when I can put my RTB in her new enclosure. Thank you.

Wait, I was wrong. This is a mistake I make every single time. I always assume the MSDS will cover the cure time, look, realize I'm horribly wrong, and then look up the Directions (which is where cure time can be found).

Now, normally these kinds of things can range, so you should always check the actual product used. Personally I'd suggest following the standards for aquarium sealant and wait a week or two for it to fully take. But if it says that objects can be submerged after X number of days, that is close to what you are looking for. But waiting longer doesn't hurt

Thank you! It says 24 hours to dry and a week for it to be ready for maximum use. (Such as holding humidity) but since the smell is gone it should be okay to insert my RTB. According to everything I read online. I just didn't know if I was smelling the wood or the paint. But after doing further research I would know if I was smelling the paint lol but I'll go back to the source as well and find out more info for pace of mind. As long as the fumes are gone I and my reptile should be fine. (So I read) and that was my main concern.
