End of life planning for snake collection

Thank you all for the ideas and kind words. I think I knew that my wife would not come around to enjoying my animals as I do. Sometimes learned attitudes towards things are hard to break, even though she will never harm a snake, she just cant get past her fear. My sons on the other hand have not continued with the interest that I thought they would. I have taught them to respect reptiles and all other animals and they will stop and rescue a wayward snake from a neighbors yard or on the road, but the interest is not there for anything more. They are too caught up into the digital world as are most people nowadays. Thank you all for your replies, you have helped me greatly.

I actually have the same issue despite only being 30 since I have a species of tortoise that has been verified that could still be alive well into the 22nd centrury. My current plan is to make sure any kids me or my siblings know they are family, although I do worry that the kids wont be interested. I'm currently trying to figure out who to leave them to in my will and how to set it up so it can be updated without too much expense.

I'm rather young but I occasionally worry about what would happen to my animals if I was in an accident or otherwise suddenly passed. I lost a good friend when we were both 17, so I'm always aware that anything could happen. I sometimes think about making a list or something for my family, maybe I should actually do it.
