keep trying to switch to f/t or just feed live again?
hey, all.
i have a ball python who is a few months old and weighs 150g. he was on medium live mice a while ago, but then the place where i bought feeders started to have less and smaller mice each time. so i decided to try to get him on f/t.
it has been around a month of offering f/t once a week. thawed out to room temperature, then heated in water and with a blow dryer. tried moving it slowly, dangling, leaving it overnight, feeding inside the enclosure (he usually eats better when he is outside the enclosure), etc. however he does not show any interest, not even a tongue flicker.
i know patience is key, but i would really love for him to put on some weight.
i have found another supplier of feeders so now i can go back to live.
should i keep trying f/t, or go back to live so he can grow a bit and then switch to f/t later on?

I'd try a live one from your supplier and pre-kill it, see if he will take it then.
