Do you ever have to piece together how you started doing/reading something?

So I found myself reading in depth about the Mustang Ranch and by the time I was done reading up on the website and through the wikipedia article on it I couldn't remember how I had found myself reading up on the topic.

I had to go back to finally realize how I had ended up in the topic, ultimately someone had posted about Nevada increasing the speed limit on a certain stretch to 80 miles an hour, and the Ranch had been mentioned in there, which had sparked my interest.

I hate forgetting how I ended up somewhere because it means I am probably missing an important piece of information that I would have otherwise remembered.

It happens to me all of time with YouTube.

I'll start off watching a large Python eating a crocodile, then 3-4 hrs later I find myself watching how to repair the neck of a guitar. And I don't even own or know how to play the guitar!
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

As someone who reads excessively I know that feeling. I've had to give up on youtube when I have my bp out since she promptly climbs on my headphones and occasionally breaks them - Third pair this year.

All the time, which is ok I guess, I like reading and learning about stuff but I have fell down the rabbit hole and forget what started it or gotten so sidetracked it's silly. More useless knowledge.
