Putting ideas in their heads…
It's been a month and three mice since Gimel has pooped and she was getting quite a sausage butt so I decided to give her a warm bath today. I was not sure how she would take to it because I've only tried it 2 or 3 times with Irwin and he doesn't really enjoy the water and tries like hell to get out. Well she took to it just fine, was really chill and calm in the water. Well tonight I see that A: she has not pooped and B: she is now sitting in her water bowl which she has never done before. There is definitely no humidity issue (high 60s all the time, 70s during shed) I think I just introduced her to the spa treatment today and she has taken a liking to it.

Now you've done it. You have to now keep upgrading to larger bowls as they grow.

The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

Update: this morning she was not in the water, but over night she produced a poop that is, I swear to god, bigger than she is.
Yesterday I was wondering if the soak was even nesisary, I mean it seemed like it must be uncomfortable, but maybe I was just projecting.
But after seeing that titanic fudge-dragon this morning, I have no regrets at all. 💩🐉

Hmmm, poop jokes aside, she ate today, and now is soaking again. Her water is 78F (same as the ambient of the cool side of the enclosure). Should i be concerned that she's not on her belly heat while digesting??

Many times my snakes will go curl up in their bowl rather than seek heat. No need to worry, they know what they need when given opportunities.

That's awesome. I haven't caught mine chilling in her bowl but she does poop in it. She positions herself around the rim just like a toilet seat with her lower third in the water and lets it rip. She is a trip.
