Boa Constrictor, the most wonderful snake

I have been a snake owner since a year now. I have learned a lot during this time. I have owned 5 types of snakes, currently 4. Ball Python was my first. I got him as he was three years old. BCI was my second. I got him as he was a month old. Dumerlis Boa was my third. I got him as he was a month old. And i just obtained my fourth snake, Amazon Tree Boa. He is 8 months old. And i have owned a corn snake for a very short period of time. I can confirm out of my experience with these snakes that my BCI is by far the most wonderful snake. He has a real personality. He interactes with me like if he has some human componants in him. He survived my mistakes as i was a beginner. Wonderful eater. Always fun to hold him and handle him. In fact handling him is the most enjoyable part of my day. That does not mean my other snakes are not fun, but it seems that Boa Constrictors are unique and special secret animals.

I still prefer them over everything else except for ball pythons. They aren't that hard to take care of they eat well they don't get very huge and have enough morphs to imo make boa constrictors one of if not the best all around choice when it comes to boids. I was considering dwarf retics, carpets and a couple others but then realize boa's are perfect for me. I'm all most considering a third.

Out of what I've had so far my favorites are boas and carpet pythons.

I was actually surprised today. I played russian roulette and let Caesar play on the bed. I know big risk but he has only ever pissed once and that was directly on my foot. Anyways, i was on the computer and Caesar came over, stretched out and looked at me and then grabbed the chair and crawled up onto my arm and shoulder and sat on me. It was touching, only time I've had any of my snakes actually come to me was when i took Rosey to the vet and she wouldnt stop trying to get back to me the whole time. I equated it to being in a strange place and i was the familiar safe tree. But with Caesar today, i have no idea. He always comes out of his hide and sits at the front of the cage looking at me when i check in on him. It's kind of weird, like he knows me. I think you will love a retic. It would be hard for me to actually have to pick a 'favorite'.
