Personally I'd just leave it alone. Enjoy seeing something unusual up close. Maybe get a picture with you standing a bit behind it.
As far as danger goes, the guy has some friends with him and at least one seems to have a cellphone. It's pretty big, but it doesn't seem big enough to be a real threat to a group of adults. i.e. - not a Darwin situation

If this became a regular feature of golf I might actually take it up. Python at hole 1, Gaboon at hole 2, cobra hole three etc.

For the reptiles safety, getting it off the golf course is a wise decision. I don't think that's why he did it, but by moving it he could have saved it from injury or death
