    BP not eating

So my wife and I got a year and a half old BP last fall. We purchased him from a breeder who raised him on F/T mice and rats. He was ~700 grams when we got him. The first two feedings we fed him large adult F/T mice that that breeder gave us and he ate them just fine. We then switched to rats from the local pet store and fed him 3 rats in a month. His last rat was in mid-December, he weighed ~900 grams at that time. I offered him a rat in late december and he refused. We then purchased a bulk bag of F/T rats from a reptile show. I have since offered him food every few weeks, and he has refused each time. I assumed he was just on his winter fast. He also shed two weeks ago.

I started to get worried a month ago, it had been nearly 4 months since he had last eaten which seemed long even for a winter fast. Just in case he didn't like the rats from the reptile show, I bought another from the local pet store and offered it to him and he refused. It's now early May so it has been about 5 months since he last ate and he just refused to eat again tonight.

Should I be taking him to a vette? His enclosure is well set up, 95 degree hot spot on one side, ~80-83 ambient temp, 55-65% humidity.

    has he lost weight?
I had a male go 10 months last year (im sure the thread is still here some where) but lost only 60g
as long as he is not loosing weight dont worry too much but if he starts loosing weight and still will not eat then its time for a vet but a 900 gram ball can go a very long time without food

Laziness is nothing more than the habit of resting before you get tired.
