    Lighting for my Vivarium?

So, in my heating line up, I have a UTH, A completely white bulb, and a red one; all of them are regulated, the bulbs with a Zoo Med night/day cycler, and the tank heating pad on a JumpStart controller.
However, I have come to notice that in the mornings, it simply gets too warm, and can reach about 100 degrees easily! However there are some days when I must turn both lights on, and others were it's so hot I have to turn the white one off. I want her on a cycle to reduce stress, and in case I want to breed her someday in her later years, but it is simply too hard to control the white light sometimes. I don't want to have to keep worrying that my snake is baking while I'm at school, and now that I'm in the warmer months it's even worse off for me and the animal.

Any suggestions on what I should do?

You do know that your snake doesn't need white light, right? She would do well with natural daylight in the room. Then you can use either a red heat bulb (I use a purple one) or you could use a ceramic heat emitter to add the proper amount of ambient heat. If you absolutely have to use a white bulb I suggest going with a lower wattage to reduce the amount of heat it puts out. Hope this helps.

I was told I didn't need the light, however I'm gone most of the day, from 7-5 depending, with my curtains closed and light off. Problem is my tank is nowhere near my window, so I couldn't have any natural lighting for her ): Do you know the lowest wattage reptile bulb I could get? I believe I have a 60 right now

Could you just open the curtains when you leave? The tank shouldn't be in front of a window anyway since direct sunlight would be too hot.
