Just a 3 yr old and her ball python

I upgraded my friend to an Exoterra cage (great deal, second hand). My daughter insisted that I take a picture of them together.

That looks like a good setup and it's great if you can teach a kid not to fear our beautiful slithering friends.

Enjoy teaching her how to take care of a pet, I believe it's a great learning experience and it'll make for a better person. Congrats

She is not afraid of him at all, in fact, she was the one who asked for a pet snake! I'm more worried about her trying to get him out of his cage on her own (she pulled the tail off of a crested gecko), but so far so good. I'm working with my BP to feel more comfortable being handled so that she can learn how to hold him.

Thanks, I plan on adding some more plants and things to make him feel extra secure.
