Location of ventilation holes on a tub

I punched them on the lower part by mistake... I heard that it can cause snake get sick because of draft??
Should I replace the tub? (wont be easy to do because I already almost removed the plastic smell by putting it on the sun for 2 days and then washing with vinegar)

I put my holes near the top edge of the tub, but honestly it probably does not matter. Too many or too few holes would be a bigger issue.

I put them low on the cool side, and high on the warm side, so there's some flow-through ventilation.

Air flow through the tub won't make enough of a draft to matter unless your tub/rack is sitting directly under something like a vent for central air conditioning that is getting a constant stream of cold air dumped on it.
