Keeping handling to an absolute minimum throughout the entire shedding process is definitely in the best interest of the animal. Their vision is altered throughout the process, and as said above, they are basically temporarily blind and therefor nervous and defensive. I'm yet to have any issues with my BP, but my King turns into an absolute JERK the whole time he's in shed. Not that I think you'll get tagged while your snake is in shed, but if you want to keep the streak going, it'll be best for you to leave her alone until after she sheds.

Re: First signs of shed?
It's been 5 days since she went blue and she hasn't left her hide as far as I can tell. I check on her at least once a day to make sure she's warm and breathing but leave her alone besides that. Humidity is around 80. It's still normal for her to be hiding 24/7 right?

Nothing to worry about. She'll shed when she's ready. My guess is you'll all of a sudden see her in her other hide and that will be a good indication that she has shed. If this is the case, I'm predicting a rolled up shed in the hide she has been staying in...and probably another little "present" for you

Awesome!! She looks great!!! I always get that "proud poppa" feeling when one of mine has a perfect shed.
