    Wrinkles during shed?

My little Sumatran girl is going through her shed cycle and about to peel. The few times she has shed at this point, she becomes heavily wrinkled the day she is going to shed after clearing up. She has always had a full shed that comes off in a single piece, so it's not a problem. I'm curious if other short tails wrinkle like that when they shed, or if it's just her? None of the balls Wrinkle like that during a shed. if you see how she's partially behind the tub, she only goes to the warm spot there when she takes a pee or poops. And she only does that on the warm spot there. And she had just peed there. Weird little quirk of hers.

    Re: Wrinkles during shed?

If she's not normally wrinkly then presumably it's not a problem .

Wrinkles can be an indication of dehydration as I understand things - which can be easily rectified with a short 20 minute soak ....

Hopefully some RTB guys will be along soon to advise ...

It's only during this stage of shed, and it happens every time. She's my only ahort tail, so I have nothing to compare to. But she's definitely far from dehydrated. She's in her water bowl 90% of the time with average humidity running from 60-70% and about 90% right now until she finally sheds.

That is normal, esp. in a younger blood.

They have a lot of "skin" seems "looser", too, unless they are to fat.

The old skin isn't as adhered to the underlying scales anymore, it folds up.

In BP you see that happen with "skinny" ones, that have "extra skin".

    Very pretty snake, btw
