This is sad. 100 dead ball pythons.

There were obviously alot of bad things going on here... 4 ball pythons together in a tub?? Poor snakes, very cruel.

It's so sad to hear about things like that. There was an animal hoarder that I grew up across the street from, the stereotypical "crazy cat lady". She wasn't crazy, but she had about 7 dogs and well over 100 cats, indoors and out. My mom used to sell Avon to her, and she'd have us deliver it. She was always trying to give us a kitten, but my parents didn't want a cat. She was very nice, but her house was in horrible condition. At one point she stopped using the front door because there was so much cat poop piled up in front of it. When she moved to a nursing home someone bought the house to fix and flip, and they pretty much had to tear it down to the bare skeleton because of the smell. They found dead cats in the walls.

sad situation for all involved. taking her for a psych evaluation means she probably wasn't mentally well. (also anyone else slightly annoyed at the ending where they state beeps can grow to 6ft like that's typical? lol sorry had to say it).

I saw that too, and yup, slightly annoyed, hahaha. That is such a rare occurrence, yet it is misrepresented and misinforms the general public. You see a whole lot more 3 ft BPs than 6ft, but this leads people to believe that 6 ft is the norm.

Same here. Why was that statement even needed in the first place??

Its like the man who was just found eaten by a snake. Its possible but super unlikely but for years people in the public will remember stories like these and be fearful of herp keepers. Its unfortunate that situations like these cast a shadow on people who are responsible and in their right mind.

Sadly, this is not that far from me. There is a sensitivity down here for anything with the word python in it because of the burm issue in the everglades. I am actually happy with the article. I would much rather they state 6 feet which is possible if rare than they be told they average four feet and someone find a six footer and think the "experts" lied or that there are mutant balls running around cross breeding with burms.
