    bad shed/eating problems?

we have a ball python that is aprox 4.5 feet long we got her almost a year ago and was feeding her live rats 2x a month. she stopped eating for almost two months and she ate 2 small mice about a month and a half ago. she had a small issue with her last shed around her head we believed she shed completely though, we try to feed her a normal size mouse once a week and she will follow it around the tank and seems slightly interestd but wont strike. even if we dangle the mouse she backs off if it gets near her. is it possible around her nose didnt shed properly and she isnt able to smell them?

her tank is fine between 80 - 90 degrees and 50 - 60% humidity, she seems other wise healthy. my husband is worried about her so any advice helps.

    thanks in advance,
    Lori

Sounds like an adult female. They can easily go months without eating, for seemingly no reason at all, without any ill effect. There's almost zero chance that the rough shed has anything to do with her not being interested in eating.
