The python was also smaller than I expected too. Pretty crazy stuff.
With it being such a large prey item for the snake could there be problems with digesting the body which is why they found him how they did?

Plus other animals don't usually where clothing made of synthetic material, so that could have been extra protection.

Re: Man Reportedly Found Inside Giant Python

this is from my country and sadly it's true. back in nov the villagers found a 7 meters python but without incident.
i don't know whether the man in on drugs or drunk off his a** that this happened, the news here don't mention it and the police will not likely to do any test for it.
it's just known that he went off to harvest some oil palm trees on Sunday morning and they found the python in the evening of next day.
Python sighting is quite common in here, usually in the gutter, someone's backyard or some abandoned building. Few were caught after eating chicken/goat from local villagers but this is the first time with a grown man inside.

Yeah definitely would slow things up. Granted I haven't seen any pictures of the guys head or face, those were covered up, and from what I've seen from any regurgitated prey that's always what begins dissolving first. I just think it's strange that there's no visible digestion on his body after 3 days. Since this appears authentic obviously my expectations are off.

It isn't 3 days. He was last seen sunday morning and found the python the next day at night.
