    Shedding?

So my BP, Calliope, recently went into blue. Instantly I bumped up the humidity, and so my best to make sure all was well, and nothing disturbed her. Well, it's been a couple days since she's come out of blue and still no shed, even more odd, she looks completely normal. I checked her hides and her tank for any shed and I didn't see anything. She seems completely normal. I don't think she would have eaten her shed skin (that would be weird) but she typically would have finished the shedding process by now. Any info?

    Shedding?

    Don't worry

It could be another 5 days before he sheds the skin ... This is the crucial time to get the humidity levels higher than normal - regular spaying the viv will do it .

She hasn't shed yet. They will look pretty much normal after their eyes clear. From when they clear to when they shed will vary. Some will shed in a day or two, others will take 5 or 6 days after clearing. You will definitely see the shed, probably in a hide, probably all wrapped in a ball, and probably with a big poop right next to it... No need to worry.

    Congrats on the nice shed.

Once their eyes go blue, it's anywhere up to a week after that. With some species of snakes it's even longer.

    Re: Shedding?

Her first shed with me was bad (little pieces so I had to get a damp towel) but every shed after that had been perfect. I'm proud of this one, you could even make out the details of the face if you looked, eye caps and everything lol. My roommates that don't have a snake thinks it's gross, but my bf who also has a BP was super proud of me. It's amazing how gorgeous they look after a shed. The colors are so soft and iridescent.
