    Bad Shed?

a couple days ago i found out my ball was shedding, she was it her blue eye phase and i decided to leave her alone. a week later i thought nothing of it and just went on with my handling. when i handled her that day: she shed off all her skin in the morning. her burns are gone and everything is off (good for my first shed ) but i noticed a red spot at the tip of her tail. i think, pretty sure, its blood and didn't have enough time to check it out since i had to leave. any idea if its a cut, blood or what?

Clean it with regular water and take a picture. It is most likely nothing to worry about. Glad to hear the animal's condition is improving. Did it shed in one piece?

There is typically a bit of blood after shedding - usually it comes from the sensitive vent area. It's likely nothing to worry about.

    Re: Bad Shed?

yes she did! she shed in one piece as i tried keeping the humidity in the mid 60 since my house gets extremely dry real quick. i have no real control over my humidity since when i get home from whatever activity i do, it usually is around 29-40% and i TRY to compensate with 70% for a good hour or so to rehydrate her and make sure she doesn't get an IR. i know it might be stressful for her to experience this but its better then a physical problem. im investing in moss tho so sorry im typing a lot im just really enthusiastic about my ball and love her tons.

For humidity, try Reptichip, you can get a block on Amazon prime shipper for $22, though sometimes the prices increase. It will keep the humidity. I find that to be much easier than just blasting the humidifier. You can then use a water spray on the reptichip to keep the humidity going if it dries up.
