Weird encounter

Some sellers will pay big money for a unique one of a kind snake like a two-headed snake so they can display it at shows and it'll draw a crowd.

Two headed snakes normally don't live that long. As long as they take good care of it, I don't see any issue with it /shrug

so I'm totally new to snake keeping and didn't know these snakes could live (thought most shots of them were photoshopped, tbh) but my dumb question is- how do you feed it? i mean can it swallow prey without issue? jw. i hope it goes to a loving home in any case

Usually both heads must be fed separately, with the other head covered to prevent them from striking at each other. Unfortunately, most two headed snakes don't survive their first few weeks. Too many issues with out of place organs and such I'm guessing.

Ben Siegel use to feed his 2 headed hondo (now belonging to Todd Ray owner of the Venice Beach freak show) by feeding smaller preys and by delaying them so they would clear the neck area without getting stuck.

It's unfortunate, but I believe there is one alive at about eight years right now? Not 100 percent sure, but some do live longer then others, sadly still not as long as their one headed counterparts.

If a deformity makes an animal more appealing, is it really a deformity?

Still a deformity up until the animal is a new species in my opinion. This does not mean that a deformity cannot become a desired trait. I have no desire for a two headed snake, but if I ever produced one I can guarantee I would sell it to the guy with the most money that could prove he could care for it.
