    Favourite red(ish) morph?

Ok, so I'm a really big fan of blood pythons, mainly because of their red colour, however they are a little bit too big for me to keep right now. Unfortunately red colours seem really difficult to tease out of ball pythons. There are however a few morphs that can tease out red-redish orange tones. Mojave and enchi seem to be able to do it to some degree however the most noteworthy, well known mutation that comes to mind is the sunset. Well... here comes a new morph (or a new combo I guess). I know some of you have seen this picture already but I figured I'd post it here just in case some of us haven't. They are calling it the red ball, it is a double recessive combo of a hypermelanistic animal called the blackball and an albino.

This is a really nice HGW mojave pastel yellowbelly

This is of course the sunset

and here's the new guy beside an albino

So what is everyone's opinion? I'm very curious how everyone feels about the red ball.

I'm going to reserve judgement until I see more.
    1. Sunset is still very new (relatively speaking) and we haven't seen it in very many combos yet.
    2. As new as Sunset is, the double recessive Albino Black Ball is literally on its debut parade this week.

I have to vote sunset. I took that plunge in 16. And can't wait for my het male to get up to size. Now granted that albino black ball is smoking.

That pic has been color tweaked. The one above it with the normal albino next to it is more accurate to its actual color.

I'm REALLY interested in seeing how both of those develop. I've been thinking about wanting to add the sunset to my banana cinny enchi pied project if it will pop the red/orange factor, but that black gene might have something to it as well.

I really like when the reddish tones come out in the animals also. I am a sucker for contrast though. So the Mojave Pastel YB is the one that really suits my taste.

I understand why people like the Sunset, but I don't, not a lot of contrast going on. If I got involved with it honestly it would only be for the money. It does nothing for me personally.

This Red Ball thing I really don't like. Looks like a two year old got a hold of some orange water colors and smeared them on a normal albino.

I think the sunset's potential is less it the base gene and more what it will do in combos. It doesn't have much contrast by itself but we've yet to see the full potential of what carries over when it's mixed into other morphs. Other things I'd like to throw at it include cinnamon/black pastel, GHI , even just spider or pinstripe with a couple enhancer genes mixed in like enchi or yb.
