    Sonoran gopher arriving tomorrow

Purchased her from a breeder in MA several weeks ago, but had to wait for the weather to cooperate.
    Biting my nails in anticipation.
Unfortunately, the forty breeder with the sliding top that I ordered from PetSense didn't arrive on the truck to my local store. Grrr. I have another tank that will do for a week or so. Kind of a pain. She is young, so shouldn't be too cramped in a ten gallon.

    Haven't decided on a name.
Thinking "Daniel" from the Elton John song.
Wrong sex, but I like the song and the name.
    We'll see.

Well, I've never handled one before, so didn't know what to expect:

They move differently. She reminds me of a sidewinder.
    Rougher scales.
She is prettier than her picture.
She has an alert look to her (yeah, I know she's a snake), but it's like she is paying attention, and actively observing. I don't get that so much from the corn, rosy, nor the king.

I hate to admit to favourites, but...

Pits are wonderful critters! I second the picture request.

    Thanks guys.

I'll get some pics eventually. I need a different camera. BF's cell makes every image look like some grainy, spurious catch of Yeti or the Lockness monster. Doesn't do anyone justice!

Fantastic gal. Couldn't be happier with her.

Makes sense to me. I don't have any Pits, but my blood python definitely watches me differently/more intently than our other snakes.
