    I've used red heat bulbs or red led lights for several of my snakes for years without issues. The IR heat bulbs I keep on 24/7 unless I want to drop my temps.

    All I use is red night bulbs, have two 2014 males weighing 1300 grams plus. So I would say red bulbs are definitely ok in my experience.
