Violin

I used to play violin in 7th grade, and sometimes I really miss it. Especially when I hear the violin in music like Lindsey Sterling. I recently discovered a program through my work where you can buy things, all sorts of things, and have a small amount deducted from your paycheck for a certain number of months. While browsing, I found that they have instruments among the many things you can purchase. Violins included. I'm tempted to buy one (it'll only cost me $10 a paycheck for 6 months) but I don't know if it's a good idea or not. I was pretty okay at it when I played, not amazing but not horrible, but I know I've forgotten how to read music since then so I would have to teach myself again. Do you think it would be worth it anyway? I have the potential to learn it pretty well again if I actually try, and I really do miss it.

I played drums from a kid till a Teen and was in a band... I do miss it sometimes too. If I ever got the feeling to do it again I wouldn't hesitate. Music is awesome and it can really help us relax and enjoy the moment. I say go for it

Omg do it. The hardest part about violins and violas is the first year imo. It's one of the hardest instruments to get the hang of and finally get out of the ugly-sounding beginner phase LOL. I played and took classes for only half a year only a few years ago, and then quit, because it just sounded too ugly and basic for too long! I have no ambition LMAO

I took classes for piano and did CM tests and recitals for a 6 years though, before I quit. But by that point, my skill level was already good enough to play most things that I want and sound nice, so it's easy to keep that up!
