My male Pastel Yellowbelly is about 60 inches long. The reason I know this is because he can stretch straight across a queen size bed.
He is sort of a freak, though. Grew faster and bigger then any of my other Balls, including females. On the same diet.
I'v heard of someone having a 6 foot female, and when I saw the picture, I believed it. I think that snake was called Big Bertha.
However, that would be extremely rare. If I described BP's, I would say they are between 4 to 5 feet long, with the rare exception of a few a bit longer, and a few a bit smaller.

I also know of some big Balls that people try and call another name (cant think of it off hand) but all they really are, are wild caught older Ball Pythons that continue to grow throughout there life. Ive seen Bids on these Notmal balls that are 6.5 feet for big money... I guess some people are stuck on "bigger is better" but they might be buying a 25 year old snake for all they know.
Lots of pythons and boas were loaded with ticks and mites back in the day. Most of what you got from pet stores were wild caught and lots of them were in less than ideal shape. I wish I knew then what I know now. lol I'm so happy that quality animals are available today. You just kind of bought what you could find back then. No internet really sucked. Its was trial and error. lol

This was from a few months ago. But to answer your question, I'm sure there's been the freak 6' female here and there but 7-8 is extremely unlikely. I hate when people exaggerate snake size.
She's a BIG beautiful girl! Thanks for sharing!

She never gets more than a medium rat weekly but has been off food for a few weeks so I'm hoping I missed her ovulate and she goes into a prelay shed soon since she's been hugging the heat.
