    Similar situation

My very first snake died in 2-3 weeks. I now know that I was doing everything right, because I've done the same with my next several snakes. I got him from a terrible store, and I would have had to have a vet degree to notice anything wrong with him. I found out that the store has a bad reputation after the fact. I now shop at a very reputable store, because I didn't even want to deal with the guy at the first store (he rubbed me the wrong way when I met him, and I should have walked away).
If you post where you live on this blog, someone will send you to a great store or breeder.
I'm so sorry you had to see that, and I miss my George every day.
