    One down, three to go.

S'ven shed today. He's been a little iffy on the rats lately and preferring mice. I hope he gets back on track soon.

wait him out. I never again offer mice to a carpet that has taken rats. While BPs are infamous for their hunger strikes, my experience has been that morelia will take them too. less often, but it is that time of year to go on strike if that's what they want to do.

That's the plan to wait him out Dennis. All of my snakes usually eat whatever I offer. The Bredli is the first one to get picky on me. I almost offered him a chick today but decided against it. I'll wait another day or two and offer him rat pup. He was eating rat weaners and was about to move up to smalls before this little fast of his.

Some of my Carpets are skipping meals this time of year as well.

Zig, Sven is really filling out nicely. What a beauty!

Thanks Rock! I use Ultratherm UTHs on most of my enclosures. I like them better than most brands because they don't get hot enough to burn the snake even if your t-stat fails and you can transfer them between enclosures if you want since they don't have the peel off adhesive.

Thanks, perfect. What size and size of tub? What does it rest on underneath the tub? T-stat recommendation?

It would give me some flexibility as the Bredli moves up in size and if I go to an RHP I could switch it to one of the BPs when I move them out of their 10 gallon glass starters.

I have him in a 60qt tub. You could go smaller but he's been in this tub for a year and he's still very comfortable in there. I only upgrade enclosures once with my snakes. I'll move him to his adult display enclosure when he outgrows the tub. I used aluminum tape to secure the uth to the bottom of the tub. The tub is resting on a small TV tray in my 7 y/o sons room. We told mama bear it was his snake because that's the only way I could get another animal at the time. I've added 3 more since then . I use Hydrofarm thermostats on all my enclosures and have for years without any issues. They're inexpensive and reliable but don't come with all the bells and whistles you'd get with a higher end Herpstat or Vivarium Electronics unit.

Hahaha, thanks for all the info. I needed it.

I got the talk last week from my wife. "Why 3?", "3 seems excessive." I explained. She said okay, last one. Meanwhile, she's the first to ask my daugther for her Pastel and monopolize the time with her until my daughter complains.

Anyway, thanks again. It might take awhile to figure out if I need a 4x2x3 for the Bredli or larger.
