    Show me your rescued dogs!

I LOVE dogs and it would be great to see other people post theirs here! I have two rescued dogs- Charlie and Milo.

This is Charlie! He is a Australian Shepherd/Border Collie mix. He is very smart and energetic!

And here's Milo! He's a min pin. He is very sweet and loves to cuddle. He hates crows more than anything.

    Now show me yours!

    Show me your rescued dogs!

Nice looking critters you have there! Glad that they are in better hands now.

I have two Rescues as well. Dolly in the middle came from a rescue agency.

Whisper on the left was not a formal Recue, but neglected outside while the woman's favorite dog was always at her side in the house.

I inherited Ruffles on the right after my Dad passed on.

Dolly, pure sable Collie, Whisper, blue Merle Collie, Ruffles, Border Collie

Because of their hard lives, they are spoiled beyond compare. I am here for them.

Before they came along, I would never allow dogs on the furniture. Looking back, that was an injustice to my dogs of past, considering the love and service they gave me and my family.

    @Reinz

Aww, your pups are so cute! One of my very close friends has a collie- they are such sweet dogs. Her dog, Isabelle, was quite funny at times. She hated going in the car so she would throw herself on the ground and refuse to get up whenever we tried to get her to the dog park (she LOVED the dog park, just not the ride). How can people be so awful? Don't have pets if you aren't going to treat them right! My poor Milo is from Costa Rica and they docked his tail by putting a rubber-band on his tail for weeks :/ He was also hit by a car and his owners didn't want him after that.

Also, I'm truly sorry for the loss of your dad. Almost exactly a year ago I lost my father as well...I know how hard it is and I hope you are coping well.

Charlie always sleeps at end of my bed and Milo sleeps with me under the covers. Charlie is allowed on the bed but I toss and turn a lot and he, being a 60 pound dog, does not like that so he gets "angry" and sleeps on the floor. Milo doesn't take up much room so he doesn't mind my restlessness.

    Show me your rescued dogs!

Thank you for the kind words Kira.

My previous Collie would refuse to ride in the car too. But it turned out that she had car sickness from being transported in the back of a Uhaul from FL to TX when she was a pup. That's a lot of rocking for a few days!

Dolly normally sleeps with me. She has serious abandonment issues, especially if I leave the house for more than 30 minutes or so. She's very frantic when I get home. Fortunately I work from home!

I enjoyed reading about your dogs.

My boy Nero, he'll be 10 this year and still a huge pain in my butt but adores my husband. We got from a shelter a state over, found on petfinder.

Re: Show me your rescued dogs!

This is Letty. She's a Rott/Husky/maybe Shepherd? mix. She was about five or six when we picked her up from a local kill shelter. She's so awesome - she actually helped us a lot in raising our second dog, Aries (a GSD) to become a decent member of canine society. We've recently had to put her on a diet because she hates to run and loves to eat, and unfortunately her hips aren't getting any younger Anyway, I love her to pieces!

Yay rescue dogs! Our dog is not a rescue, I'm afraid-- but funny story, we bought her at a reptile show. Went in to try and find an adult female crested gecko, walked out with a mixed breed puppy! (And I do have one and a half rescue cats!)

Re: Show me your rescued dogs!

This is Oliver, Ollie for short. His siblings and him were found on the side of the road at 5 weeks old by a co worker of my mom's. All the other puppies went home with other co workers but Ollie had something wrong with his eye and none of the co workers would take him so my mom text me asking if I could take him or foster him. So I took him and he's my big baby! He had an ulcer in his eye when we got him, he fell and broke his left back leg when he was 4 months and now he has valley fever but despite all that he is a goof that loves to play ball and loves to cuddle and thinks he is still 5 pounds and not 65 lol.

    Talking

I don't have any pictures on my computer however the 5 dogs in my signature are rescue dogs, and we always have a foster running around our house. We work with a German Shepherd rescue, working so closely with all the pups makes me feel like they are mine!
