    Feeding every 4 days

    Hey
So when I went on holiday for 3 weeks, my BP stayed with a mate who refused to feed him (I didn't have any other options to be fair), as the BP hadn't eaten the week before I gave him, he went a full month without eating, and ended up going from 225g to 190g. He's back now, and ate the day he got home, despite having a long cold car journey.

My question is whether I should feed him more frequently to get him back to normal? How often is too often? He's 5 months old at this point, and otherwise super healthy (he doesn't even look thin). Should I just stick to a normal schedule or is it ok to give a bit extra for a short time?

You don't have to. Just feed normal and he will catch back up before you know it. No need to worry. I'd def make sure you are providing fresh water.

    Re: Feeding every 4 days

Stick to regular feed schedule. I feed all mine every 7 days. Come day 5-6 I get the death stare. They all make it very clear on day 7 the sky better open up and rain rats , or I will have problems lol.

    Re: Feeding every 4 days

At that age and size I would try to feed every 5 days. I wouldn't go less really even if it has been forced to fast. Seven days is ok too but when my snake was that size I was feeding every 5 days because it was so hungry and wanting to eat and needing to grow also. Then when it got bigger and showed less enthusiasm I went to 7 days and he is eating regular every 7 now, except this past time I waited because he was in shed and didn't really act hungry, and I got a perfect shed this time too. So I cleaned up the poop and skin yesterday morning and fed him last night. I know eventually I might have to go to 10-14 days but as long as he is eating fine every 7 I will try to stick to that. So anyway back to your subject. I would just increase it by one day.
