    Enchi Citron Burst clutch/genetics

Thought I'd post my enchi citron clutch for those interested in the project. So far it seems citron reduces the back half and tail and adds yellow while the burst gene adds much brighter color but no back half reduction. I am working this year on isolating both genes and will be sharing more of their potential as well as how to identify them since that seems to be the biggest confusion surrounding these genes. I purchased a large group from the Florida reptile ranch who received them from major league reptiles, hopefully I can help out with any question people may have as I find out more about these two very promising genes. If interested you can also follow the project and more on my fb page at http://www.Facebook.com/morganhillmorphs/

Thank you I'm hoping to get some eggs from this enchi citron burst girl this year along with some others. Fingers crossed they all go.

    Re: Enchi Citron Burst clutch/genetics

Last year I bombed out with my enchi citron burst male. This year I'm hoping for something good. I've paired him up with 2 bumblebee females, a Blackback burst and a normal. I'm hoping to get a super burst if it exists and separate out the genes if I can. I have my fingers crossed. He has been breeding a lot for me this year

I hope they lay for you this year. I'm not sure enough burst to burst breeding has been done to find a super yet so good luck with that as well. Same with the citron there seems to be some that are mis identified.

I received all of my stock from Brant or Michael so I'm hoping they aren't misidentified

    Re: Enchi Citron Burst clutch/genetics

Same here I think we just need more examples to rule out some possible variations. For instance the enchi pos burst I hatched in the photo I'm going to just sell as an enchi since it is possible it's just a brighter enchi than the other enchi in the clutch and not a burst. Moving forward I want to find the best examples to continue breeding so the genes become unmistakably identifiable. Do you know anyone with an example of a bumblebee burst or citron yet?

Bumblebee Citron I saw a photo of was I believe owned by JMB. I think he had gotten it from Michael of Florida reptile ranch when Brant sold all his stuff. I have seen just about no one showing off Citron stuff though.

Hopefully I will have some more this year. I have a powerball to enchi citron locking now. And a super fire x black back citron. Should pop out some citron morphs separated from enchi and burst.
