Is it common for males irain jaya to be 7ft and about the thickness of a boa?

That's not common for IJs at all. I think IJs average about 5-6 feet. Most carpets are pretty slender. Bredli are the only ones that would be close to a boa in girth.

I though IJs were on the smaller side for carpets. Coastals and Bredli get rather large.

My biggest male ball python is thicker then my 3 year old 75% IJ jag girl. She is quite a bit longer though at 6-7 feet long. Not sure how much influence the 25% coastal has on her length but she's not all that girthy at all

    Large irian Jaya!

One of my Coastals, Lizzy is almost 8 ft and has the girth of my small male Boa, Butch.

    Lizzy, bottom cage

Bredlis generally don't get quite as long as Coastals overall, but can get get close. They do get more girthy than most other Carpets.

Like Ziggy said, IJ's normally max out between 5-6 ft.

Sounds like yours is a mix of IJ and or Coastal/Bredli.

The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

My guess is that the OP posted this question on multiple forums and FB groups and forgot about this forum.
