    found the Gator ...

Always heard that there was a gator in a remote lake on Fort Rucker.
I've been out there several times with no luck, but on Christmas day..tada. There he was, sunning himself

I got out of the car and within about 15 feet of him. He was down a short but steep bank. I didn't want to stress him, nor did I want to put myself in danger, so I kept a close eye on him and whether he watched me or tensed up. He was snoozing and stayed nice and relaxed.

They are always a fun find. Most Texas lakes have them so I've seen many while fishing. I enjoy it every time.

You know I lived in Florida for four years and never saw one... Kinda wish I had thought to look... carefully.

    That doesn't even sound possible!!!

Come to Texas and I can show you some.

We even see them in the flats when we go salt water fishing here.

I got close to a huge one on Sam Rayburn Reservoir.
