Can I use this paper bedding for my BP?

It's intended for rodents and is essentially what looks like shredded cardboard. The only thing I might feel worried about is her accidentally consuming some of it when she goes to feed but again, it's just untreated paper so... what do you think?

Some people use carefresh for their snake with no problems and it's basically the same thing you're talking about. Shredded paper. Personally, I view it as bedding for the things my snakes eat, but it should be safe for snakes too.

I'm pretty new to ball pythons so there are more experienced people who can weigh in I'm sure, but I use CareFresh for my girl and I feed her in a separate tub to avoid any accidental swallowing. She seems to do just fine on it!

    Paper products are quite unsanitary...
I use natural substrates in my environmental enclosures, I also use reptile or terrarium carpet in my feeding and quarantine tanks. Easy to clean and sanitize...

if you are wanting to use it for economical purposes, just use newspaper or paper towels. Easy and fast to clean up. Cheap too.

What about the ink that leeches out of newspaper?

Lots of people use the blank newspaper. I've seen people talk about getting the end rolls of blank paper from the newspaper. I guess you can get them cheap because when they get too small you can't finish out the roll in the printing machines, but there is plenty left for substrate purposes. I like paper towel for the convenience. Better chance of seeing mites and it's easy to clean.

To each his/her own I guess...
I never had much luck with paper, although convenient, it still contains trace amounts of bleach from processing. I've actually cultivated bacterial and mold cultures, during med-school, from brand new paper towel rolls. That's my concern, personally. I never heard of putting an animal on paper unless its being potty trained. Something new to me and thanks for the info

I was using paper towel while she was recovering from an injury, I figured this would be more comfy for her. ?
