    Autumn Jungles

It's a nice, overcast day here in north florida. Outside temps were pushing 80 so I took some updated pictures of a few critters. Enjoy!

Old Man Cheynei, 1996 VPI male jungle:

This 2011 Mutton female is rather pale in comparison but I dig her look too:

They make some pretty babies! One of their offspring from 2015:

Already showing some nice potential, a couple of this years whippersnappers:

All are very impressive John. I just can't get enough of Old Man C !
The one thing I found that you can count on about Balls is that they are consistent about their inconsistentcy.

Thanks, he's definitely one of my more photogenic snakes. Even when he's in an old skin, like above, he manages to make it look good! Sweet as can be too once he's out but don't let that fool you. He can still slam prey, and unwary keepers, like a ton of bricks. He falls for the ole "wiggly fingers" distraction every time though so is easy to bring out for maintenance.

Your jungles look amazing John. It's great to see such a mature snake still thriving. They sure do make pretty babies too!

    Beautiful stuff!

I really like the variation within the species.

Old Man C has that big, triangle, mature head!

You can't go wrong with carpets!

Yeah, some pretty huge variation and folks breeding for the traits they like most. Mature head is right, the 2011's is smooth as butter compared to his gnarly mug. A few more pictures for the OMC fans out there.

I'll be happy as can be if Akurra looks even half as good as old Man C when he's fully grown! Amazing looking snake

My not so little coastal is about 7 feet long now and 3.5 years old but she has nowhere near that head size or bodily girth.

OMC is a well raised fella and I can see how they fill out more with age. His head is so wide at the back, it looks like he's venomous. Very neat head shape.

    Great jungle!
