    Vespa - Progression ♥

I was on another snake board for a while, and had been meaning to make an account here, but only recently gotten a BP. c: This is Vespa! She is 50% pastel, 50% pie, but shows her pastel. Albert Clark was her breeder, and as of now, she is 6 months old; I got her in October, when she was 4 months. She is an absolute DOLL. She's never struck and has the sweetest disposition. She can be a little nervous but she's definitely not shy (likes to climb and sit on top of her hide a lot, doesn't seem to want to hide much.) She eats very well too, has only skipped one meal and that was when she first arrived. c: I'll be using this thread to post how she grows and changes!

Note: My house is AWful with lighting, sorry. It's not great because we live in a valley and there are massive trees across the road from my window, so I rarely get direct sunlight to get very well lit pictures. My lamps are yellow and give off the icky tone most days... but she really is gorgeous, she just doesn't get pics that seem to befit her!

Breeder pics from Albert before she arrived:
(File link says "firefly" because that's what I was going to name her before I realized that was the name of a morph, lol. Her name is Vespa.)

Pics about 2 days after she arrived for me. I need to take some more soon once I get a nice sunny day, but winter is super dark lately.
This pic is what I mean by bad lighting, my goodness.

    Welcome to the forum Piggy.

Looks like Albert sold you a beautiful BP, no surprise there.

I love the name Vespa, if I recall Vespa is Italian(?) for Wasp. She sure has the colors of a bright Yellow Jacket!

Wow!! Thanks Pb. Glad to see and hear that she is doing so well in your care. Vespa is 100% het pied. The pairing was visual pastel pied x pastel. She obviously went to a great home and it's so good to see her growing and doing extremely well for you. Thanks again. Can't wait to see more pics of her. She's still missed around here. Lol.

Thanks you guys! And yep, Vespa is Italian for wasp! I really wanted to name her something uncommon, and my great grandparents (and my husband's great grandparents actually) came directly from Sicily. I was even thinking of learning Italian someday. Funfact: the house we just paid off this month actually used to belong to them; so naming her something in Italian was sort of an homage. c:

Also hello Albert, haha! I didn't know you were here too! She's been hiding a lot, I'm thinking she's about to shed. In a couple days if she pops back out, I'll take some pics. I'll take some pics of her enclosure too, I just spoiled both of my babies with some decorations. In the spring, when it gets warm, I'm going to hook both of them up with bioactive enclosures. A project I can't wait to set up!

Really a amazing narrative you have here. Both Ghost and Vespa are lucky reptiles to have you as their keeper. Actually that bioactive project is a great idea and i can't wait to see that unfold going forward. Vespa's true colors appear to be coming through also as she may even be considered by some to be a super pastel 100% het pied bc of the pairing that produced her. It shows when she sheds and the areas of blushing she has throughout her head and body.
