    She's growing on me

Trinity is usually a really sweet girl but she's been tipping over her water bowl a lot these last few days. I think she's trying to tell me that she's hungry even though she just ate a week ago . I'm ordering some spill proof water bowls today. I took her out of her enclosure and managed to snap a few quick pics.

This shot is pretty blurry but I liked it .

She seems to be as hard as my two arboreal snakes. They will not sit still.

    Lookin good.

    Presumably a Carpet Python !?

What kind of morph , what's the temperament like inside and outside Viv , how old and approx length .

Sorry , so many questions but I'm thinking of buying a 2 year old one ( 3 foot long and slender ) that's NOT used to handling

Zinc- She's a Jungle Jag x JCP cross but she's not a morph of any kind. All four of my carpets are pretty chill. Getting them out of their enclosures can be a little frustrating because they'll latch onto anything they can grab but they're fine once they're out. She was hatched in Sep. 2015 so she's about 14 months old now. I'd say she's roughly 3.5 ft. long and about 725g. Carpets are probably my favorite species of snakes. They're a lot of fun to watch. I think every keeper should have at least one in their collection .

Thank you for the info .

I've got Boas , Burm , Retic , Corns , Kings , Rat snakes , Garters , Royals but never had a Carpet Python .

The one I've got chance of is a Zebra Jungle female . 2014 , 3' long and slender which seems small for the age ??

It's supposedly never bitten or even tried but it is lively , gets hooked out very occasionally when they clean the Viv out ...

I've heard they can be temperamental and I've NEVER heard of a puppy take one which all kinda makes me wonder ....

Of my 4 carpets only one has ever struck at me and that's when he was a young hatchling. He was fine after about a month I'd say. I was under the impression that they were sometimes a little nippy too but I was pleasantly surprised when they weren't. Every snake is different though.

I've had over 50 carpets over the years and all the babies were nippy. The adults calm down, but all of my adults still take the occasional shot just for fun. The fact that the snake is "hooked" out of it's cage at cleaning time should tell you something.

Out of all my snakes, my JCP is the one who gets sassy. I still love her even though she is cranky a lot lol. Heck she even pisses herself off when she touches her own tail lol. She eats like a horse though and is cool to look at it, just not very social like my other snakes.

And shes cool looking Ziggy. Wish mine was that calm lol.
