    Loose snake in my house!!!!!

The great thing about it was it wasn't any of mine.

Sorry to disappoint everybody thinking you were about to help me snake wrangle.

Today as I started getting ready for work I walked around a corner and saw an object out of the corner of my eye recoil back as I took a step. I turned around to see a 18 inch Garter snake laying on the floor.

It was strange as my first thought was "how'd you get out?" Not that I have any snakes even close to its size. I should have been wondering how it got in. Anyways, I quickly snapped out of it, gathered it up, and placed it back outside.

Later I sent my wife a pic and asked her if it was hers. She thought Id found it outside and brought it in for a pic as a prank. She made sure to tell me "we are maxed out on snakes at the moment." She is not a snake person and when she later found out it came in to visit on its own she was not happy. I laughed as bringing it inside is something Id do. I did wake her up once because I found a bat. She was not as excited as I was then either.

I was happy about is as this is the second Garter I have found around my house in the past few months plus I had the real treat of finding a super small Hognose baby too. They have certainly picked the right house to live around. As did the bullfrog that took up residence in my Koi pond.

LOL! This reminds me a lot of when I was a child I used to have a fascination with garter snakes. Here in Manitoba, Canada they run ramped everywhere! I'm on the left lol. Took me forever to find this picture.

I thought so. It made me laugh when I thought about the difference of you saying how long it took you to find the pics vs. how long is would take me to find a pic of my childhood. The digital age is a great thing. I would have to drive to my parent house an hour away and then start digging through boxes and books for pics.

Well move on down. We can always use more snake people.

Im a proud Texan, born and raised.

Its great not having to deal with seasons. I can ride my motorcycle and take my boat out fishing all year. Cant beat that.

Honestly I would like to live somewhere where it's not -40 in the winter. It's a nightmare sometimes that's for sure.

And there's probably less snake laws lol, you pretty much have to have permits here even for ball pythons it's ridiculous.

Good place to own snakes and guns.

I didn't know that about Canada.
