Japanese man with caiman best friend
My friend at work sent me this story and it was too good not to share
This guy has had his pet caiman for 34 years...he takes it on walks and brushes his teeth.
There is a short video near the end of the article that is definitely worth a watch

These alligators and croc species seem to be a lot more emotionally intelligent than most people give them credit for.
This reminds me of that croc named Pocho. He was shot in the head, and a man found him and saved his life. The croc genuinely bonded with the man and wouldn't stray far from him for his entire life. It's a cool documentary to watch too.

I have a in ground concrete koi pond that when we moved in the house I wanted to get a croc for. The wife of course vetoed this.
Now armed with this story and video I may have a winning argument. LOL!!!
I cant believe he lets people so close to an untapped mouth. Pretty cool croc. I really liked him swimming in the city fountain.

Re: Japanese man with caiman best friend
Watching the documentary now redsheperd, thanks for posting that! I remember watching a story about a lady, also with a caiman (I think) who seemed genuinely bonded to her, too...she got a second one after some years and the first developed an attitude and truly seemed jealous of the new one. They definitely appear to be more intelligent and emotional than most give them credit for.
KMG, make sure to add that YOU will brush its teeth every day; you'll wear her down eventually
Seeing him with the kindergarteners made me anxious lol
